In the Ice Palace Skating School , you'll learn the skills that will enable you to enjoy a lifetime of fun and exercise. Step by step instruction in a pleasant, supervised surrounding makes learning safe and easy. New skaters are welcome. Classes are grouped by age and ability. Classes meet for a one half hour class once a week for 8 weeks and include 1 practice session per week for 8 weeks.
As a special treat, our introductory skaters (Baby Blades, Tot 1 4 & 5 yr olds, Intro 6-8 yr olds and Intro's 9-12 yr olds) receive medals of completion at the end of the 8-week session. Students are evaluated on the 7th week of each session at which time the instructor will recommend a suitable class for the skater to enroll in the next 8 week session.
The ratio of skaters to instructors is approximately 10-1, except in our Tot 1 and Baby Blades classes which is approximately 6-1.
